Advice from Maxim publisher Felix Dennis on starting a business

Felix Dennis is one of the richest individuals in Britain due to the success of his publishing business. From Wikipedia:
Dennis was recently named one of the most powerful people in media by The Guardian newspaper and was ranked 65th on the Sunday Times Rich List with a fortune estimated at £585 million. He was ranked joint 95th on the Sunday Times Rich List 2007 with a fortune estimated at £750 million.

In addition, he is the author of the book How to Get Rich which was published in the UK in 2006 and released last month in the USA.

He is also an exciting individual : )

The Economist has an article where he provides some great advice:
* A recession is a good time to start a business because that is when big companies shrink, leaving opportunities open for entrepreneurs.
* Don’t become an entrepreneur unless you are completely serious about it, because it will take over your life.
* Execution and learning from failure is more important than a breakthrough idea.
* America has a bright future if it maintains is support of entrepreneurship.
